Critical security upgrades to the Deception Bay Police Station are now complete.
Member for Bancroft Chris Whiting said the Queensland Police Service has a reputation as a world class operation.
“It’s important for us to support the efforts of our hardworking police by giving them the best possible facilities,” Mr Whiting said.
“Recent works at the Deception Bay Police Station reflect the Government’s commitment to the police that serve our local community so selflessly.
“We invested more than $103,000 to upgrade the CCTV system at this Station to provide safe and secure facilities for our police in 2020.
“These CCTV cameras are essential to protect officers, members of the public and critical police infrastructure.”
Member for Morayfield and Minister for Police Mark Ryan said community safety was the Government’s number one priority.
“The Palaszczuk Government is committed to supporting police in the work they do for local communities,” he said.
“We have more police personnel than ever, and they are better equipped than ever before.
“We commend their dedication to keeping Queenslanders safe.”
