Member for Murrumba Chris Whiting said there are 249 local retailers who offer discounts for Senior Business Discount Card holders.
More than 100,000 Queensland seniors were benefiting from the discounts which range from travel packages to restaurants and electrical goods.
“I want local seniors from North Lakes, Deception Bay, Griffin, Mango Hill, Burpengary East and Rothwell to benefit from this great scheme.
“Any local resident over the age of 60, irrespective of their job status, is eligible for a Seniors Business Discount Card.
“To use the card, look for a Seniors Card sticker on a shop window or at point of sale, or simply ask the person behind the counter.”
