North facing ramps at Dohles Rocks Road & Bruce Highway Interchange
Commuters would face an extra two and half hours stuck in traffic each week if the LNP plan to construct goes ahead, said Chris Whiting MP.
Traffic jams would extend beyond Deception Bay Road interchange each morning and go back to Carseldine each afternoon if the ramps are constructing without a bigger local roads upgrade.
“It is incredible that the only LNP local roads policy will make traffic jams worse for residents in North Lakes, Deception Bay, Caboolture and Bribie Island,” said Chris Whiting.
“Modelling shows the morning commute would take an extra 12 minutes and the afternoon commute home would take an extra 17 minutes due the weaving and merging movements the ramps would create.
“We know the solution is a larger roads project that includes the Moreton Connector going around North Lakes, improvements on the Gympie Arterial Road and the Gateway motorway, and a new bridge over the Pine River,” said Chris Whiting.
