The next round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) is now open and Chris Whiting MP wants local community groups to put in their applications

The fund is Queensland’s largest once-off grants program and community groups can apply for grants of up to $35,000 (inclusive of GST) on a quarterly basis.

“Every community group know the Gambling Community Benefit Fund is the best scheme in Queensland to get their much-needed funds, and I want us to get our fair share here in Bancroft,” said Chris Whiting MP.

“The next round is round 100 and there will also be a Special Commemorative Grants round with $1.25 million available through $100,000 and $250, 000 grants.

“Expressions of Interest for the Special Commemorative grants have closed, and I hope we will see some of these funds come to our local communities.

“GCBF funding is open to organisations that have not-for-profit objectives and are community-based.

“It is a great way to get funds for items or projects that might otherwise be out of reach.

“Applications for this round close on at 11.59pm on 30 November 2018,” said Chris Whiting.

People can contact the Bancroft electorate office if they have any questions about the Gambling Community Benefit Fund on 3448 2100.
