Chris Whiting MP is encouraging all local community and sporting groups to think about their next application to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).
Round 118 is now open and will close at midnight on 31 August 2023.
“$35,000 is available for a successful application by your community or sporting organisation,” said Chris Whiting MP.
“Every group should think about putting in an application.
“The GCBF is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program and distributes about $60 million each year to not-for-profit community groups.
“The GCBF funding helps your community group provide services, sporting activities and a range of opportunities for Queenslanders.
“The last round for 2023 after this one will close on 31 October.
“The outcome of a funding application may take up to 4 to 5 months after the closing date.
“My message to all our local not-for-profit groups is to get online and put in an application if you can,” said Chris Whiting MP.
