“Local community groups that have projects or ideas to help build better connections between multicultural groups and the broader community can now apply for grant funding for these projects,” said Chris Whiting MP.
The latest round of the $11.7 million Celebrating Multicultural Queensland grants program is now open for a range of projects to be delivered from 1 July 2024.
“The Celebrating Multicultural Queensland grants program is one of the best ways to build social connection and cohesion in communities across Queensland,” said Chris Whiting MP.
“I would really love to see a range of community organisations put in applications to fund projects such as celebration days and community information events.
“There is up to $50,000 available for projects that focus on supporting economic and social participation of Queenslanders from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
“There is also up to $120,000 available for projects that break down barriers for young people,” said Chris Whiting MP.
Applications can be submitted online at maq.smartygrants.com.au/ until midnight, 12 November 2023 (AEST).
