“The Palaszczuk Government has made a big commitment to the health of every Queenslander by making influenza (flu) vaccines free,” said Chris Whiting MP.
Queenslanders can get vaccinated at their local GP, community health clinic or pharmacy and is recommended for anyone over the age of 6 months.
“We’re now well and truly into flu season and we all know how bad it is this year,” said Chris Whiting MP.
“Influenza causes many hospitalisations for children and for older people and we can prevent influenza by getting vaccinated.
“That is why flu vaccinations will be free to all Queenslanders from July 22nd to August 31st.
“If you have an existing booking for this week, your pharmacist or GP will provide the vaccine for free or you will be reimbursed.
“If you have concerns about vaccination, speak to your GP.
“You can also call 13 HEALTH on 13 43 25 84 and speak to qualified health staff,” said Chris Whiting MP.
