New Mental Health support on the way for Queenslanders during COVID-19
Chris Whiting MP said that the Palaszczuk Government announcement of an additional investment of $46.5 million for Queensland mental health community treatment and support services will be a “Godsend” for many locals.
It will be a priority to get funds to local community-led services who can provide a rapid response to meet the needs of individuals, families and communities In Bancroft, Chris Whiting said.
“I know more Queenslanders are experiencing mental illness and mental health challenges due to the impacts of COVID-19, including increased ambulance callouts for Queenslanders,” said Chris Whiting
“Supporting mental health is a key part of the recovery process for our Bancroft communities.
“We’ll continue to do everything we can to make sure that every Queenslander has the support they need.
This rapid response mental health support will build on existing partnerships between the public, private and NGO sectors
