Make Your Tourism Business Digital Ready!

ChrisAdmin Business

Local tourism operators can build up their digital side of their businesses with the help of a new Palaszczuk Government program.

The Palaszczuk Government has partnered with the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) to deliver the Digital Capability and Trade Readiness Workshops on the Sunshine Coast and across Queensland.

The tourism industry employs one in ten Queenslanders and is worth $25 billion to our economy.

Tourism companies are found everywhere including Bancroft and I encourage them to sign up for the next workshops in March 19 at the SurfAir Beach Hotel at Marcoola.

Workshops include Increasing Website Traffic and Planning Your Online Strategy and tourisms operators can check out the whole program at www.qtic.com.au/programs

The Palaszczuk Government’s partnership with the QTIC helps local tourism companies become “digital ready” and attract more business.

The program and workshops will be delivered by Regional Tourism Organisations and held across Queensland.

Topics include Web Basics & Online Review, Reputation Management, Online Digital Scorecard, Being Bookable Online, Increasing Website Traffic and Maximising Social media.

Our goal is to help tourism businesses become more competitive so that visitors can enjoy a great tourism experience.

Online marketing and booking systems are very important for tourism operators and these will be included in the program.

There will be more than 80 Digital Ready Workshops delivered across the state in the first half of 2019.
