Local Sports Clubs Urged to Get Onto New Grants Program Quick!
Chris Whiting MP wants local sports clubs to move quickly to get funds from the new $51.3 million Return to Play recovery assistance package.
The Palaszczuk Government program is supporting sport and active recreation clubs prepare for the easing of restrictions under Stage 2 of the COVID-19 Roadmap.
“Local sporting clubs have been hugely disrupted by the COVID-19 closures, and this new funding package can throw them a lifeline,” said Chris Whiting.
“The time is coming for kids to get back on the field, but I know local volunteers need a hand as they work hard to rebuild their clubs.
“But it is critical these clubs put in their applications immediately – today if possible.
“We saw the Small Business Relief Program with grants of up to $10,000 snapped up in just a matter of days.
“if any club has got any questions, they need to call me immediately,” said Chris Whiting.
