Local schools win big in Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants
It is great news that 4 local schools have been successful in securing grants from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).
Murrumba is home to many fantastic local schools and I am thrilled to see four of them receive grants that will allow them to improve facilities for their community.
Bounty Boulevard State School, in North Lakes will receive $35,000 to install shade structures and bubblers.
Deception Bay’s Moreton Downs State School will be able to upgrade their tuckshop with $13,844.
The brand new Griffin State School has $11,696.95 to purchase musical instruments.
St Benedict’s Catholic College in Mango Hill will provide greater services to the school and wider community with $31,818.18 to construct a new tennis court.”
Local schools were not the only groups to benefit from GCBF funding with Te Hauraki Football and the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra receiving $10,000 and $7895 respectively to purchase equipment and instruments.
