GCBFMurrumba

It is great news that 4 local schools have been successful in securing grants from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF).

Murrumba is home to many fantastic local schools and I am thrilled to see four of them receive grants that will allow them to improve facilities for their community.

Bounty Boulevard State School, in North Lakes will receive $35,000 to install shade structures and bubblers.

Deception Bay’s Moreton Downs State School will be able to upgrade their tuckshop with $13,844.

The brand new Griffin State School has $11,696.95 to purchase musical instruments.

St Benedict’s Catholic College in Mango Hill will provide greater services to the school and wider community with $31,818.18 to construct a new tennis court.”

Local schools were not the only groups to benefit from GCBF funding with Te Hauraki Football and the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra receiving $10,000 and $7895 respectively to purchase equipment and instruments.

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund provides one off grants of up to $35,000 to registered community groups. More information can be found at: http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/corporate/sponsorships-and-grants/grants/community-benefit-funding-programs

The next round closes on 31 August 2016.
