Local Community Champions Celebrated on Queensland Day
Do you know someone who makes a positive difference in the Bancroft community? If so Chris Whiting MP wants to make sure they are recognised.
“Across the Bancroft community it is the people who make a great difference. They are our Community Champions,” Mr Whiting said.
“This is why I am again hosting my annual Queensland Day Community Champion Awards, to honour and recognise them.
“What better day to acknowledge the hard work of local Queenslanders, than on Queensland Day?
“Our Community Champions come in many forms, from volunteers in community, sporting or school groups, to businesses or businesspeople who give back to their community. There is an endless list of great qualities and people that can be acknowledged,” Mr Whiting said.
The Queensland Day Community Champion Awards nominations are open to residents from the Bancroft electorate who you feel makes a positive difference to our community.
Nominations are open now, and will close at 5pm 31 May 2018. Email bancroft@parliament.qld.gov.au or call 3448-2100 to obtain a nomination form.
