Disability Community Event Grants 2017
Community groups, schools, sports clubs and other non-government organisations can now apply for grants of up to $5,000 to help celebrate and recognise the abilities of Queenslanders with disability during Disability Action Week (10–16 September) and International Day of People with Disability (3 December).
Following the success of last year’s round, an increased share in $150,000 will again be available to the community to hold events and activities across the state.
Through this grants program, we aim to involve people from all parts of the community in breaking down barriers for people with disability to work, travel, socialise and participate in the community like other people.
Applications close on Wednesday 24 May. For more information on applying for grants, and the types of events to be funded in 2017, go to www.qld.gov.au/daw
