The next round of $150 Get Started vouchers will soon be available for young Queenslanders, signing up for sports teams.
Round 13 of the vouchers will open on Wednesday 6 February, and are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and they go quickly.
I encourage parents and coaches to be ready to apply right away.
All that is required to be eligible is a health care card or a pensioner card, but other children may be eligible through referral agents.
Getting our kids into sport and active recreation can put pressure on the family budget, which is why the Palaszczuk Government set aside almost $5.5 million for Round 13 of the Get Started vouchers to help eligible families cover those costs.
The Palaszczuk Government has proudly invested almost $22.3 million in the sports support program since January 2015, with an incredible 191,169 vouchers being distributed.
